SnackTime emerged from the need to improve the cinema experience for families, elderly users, and movie-goers who struggled to leave their seats during a film. The goal was to design a seamless in-seat snack ordering system that worked intuitively in dark environments.
Through user interviews and observational research, I identified key accessibility and usability gaps, then developed clear user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to guide the design. The challenge was creating an interface simple enough to use mid-movie, yet robust enough to support real-time ordering and delivery.
Delivering a smoother cinema experience
The redesigned SnackTime app introduced a clear, low-light-friendly interface that allowed users to order snacks quickly without leaving their seats. The new design improved accessibility for families, elderly visitors, and movie-goers who previously found mid-movie ordering difficult.
Enhancing convenience and user satisfaction
The improved user flows reduced friction, increased order clarity, and made the overall experience faster and more intuitive. Early testing showed higher user satisfaction, fewer abandoned snack decisions, and a more enjoyable, uninterrupted movie experience.
